The Career Services at HsKA include
KOOR: helps students with practical traineeships, which German students spend abroad, or foreign students spend in Germany
Career Center: This HsKA service institution helps with contacts between HsKA students, companies, alumni and graduates. It organizes career fairs and offers a job wall.
CareerNet: Platform for career service information - deadlines, news, and scholarships - and for networking between students in their traineeship semester
Business Start-up: Information, advice and preparatory seminars for students who plan to set up their own business.
General studies: these seminars and courses are available for all HsKA students, regardless of their degree program.
Today, employees are expected not only to be highly qualified, but also to be able to communicate efficiently with customers and collegues, to apply management and problem solving techniques. Graduates must be proficient to use creativity, deal with human resource management as well as self management, and ethical behaviour. Globalization of enterprises causes a need for foreign language skills, intercultural competence as well as basic legal knowledge of their employees.
Therefore, students from all faculties are offered to acquire and train general key skills in the following subject areas:
- economy and globalization
- innovations in technology and economy
- ethics in technology, economy and society
- human resource management
- law in economy and technology
- entrepreneurship - the engineer as entrepreneur
- self management and communication
- English and International Business
