Each year, one third of all degree programs are evaluated in the ranking. Further results of the CHE ranking were based on surveys of the previous years in which Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences also obtained excellent results, e.g. for Civil Engineering in the following categories: overall study situation, student support, research funds and general academic reputation. For Civil Engineering, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences thus obtained place 3 amongst all German universities of applied sciences.

“The results obtained in this renowned ranking again confirm the high quality of our degree programs that open up excellent career opportunities for our graduates. This has also been confirmed in other rankings”, emphasizes Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Meisel. In the current university ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche newspaper (April 2011), for instance, personnel managers were asked from which universities they recruited their management trainees and specialists and which ones prepared the students best for their jobs. For four out of six degree programs, namely Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems and Business Administration & Engineering, the personnel managers rated Karlsruhe University Germany’s best university of applied sciences when it comes to preparing the students for their future jobs – so that’s four times number one in this year’s university ranking. For Mechanical Engineering the university was rated number 4. Therefore, with four first places and one fourth place in the major engineering, computer science, and business programs, HsKA is again rated Germany’s most successful university of applied sciences in this ranking.
