Advice on studying in Germany

You are not sure yet where to study, or which program? These institutions might be able to help:

  1. German Academic Exchange Service DAAD: This website provides valuable background information about the university system in Germany, a lot of contact addresses, a search engine for study programs, and much more.
  2. Hochschulkompass: for an overview of higher education institutions and their study programs.
  3. uni-assist: gives general information about matters to keep in mind when applying. Some universities use uni-assist as their central application institution; applicants need to pay a fee. HsKA does not use uni-assist, please apply directly.
  4. The DAAD's website "Studieren in Deutschland" gives you information about living and surviving in Germany, language courses, health matters, what other international students have experienced, chats where you can ask questions...
