The research report titled "Hochschule Karlsruhe - Technik und Wirtschaft. Forschung aktuell" (ISSN 1613-4958) is published once a year. The projects of applied research at HsKA, which are still running or have just been concluded, are presented here, a presentation much appreciated by the companies involved.
Most articles are in German, some are in English; however an English-language abstract is always included. The HsKA research report can be ordered free-of-charge at the GÖM (Public Relations and Marketing Office), alternatively see the German-language pages to download the report.
HsKA is one of the most research-oriented universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. In 2015, close to 5.3 million Euro in third-party funds were acquired. Research is focussed in two institutes: Institut für Angewandte Forschung (Institute of Applied Research IAF) and the Institute of Materials and Processes (IMP), having more than 267 staff members, including about 66 postgraduate students carrying out research projects for their dissertation. "More proof, apart from our new research report, that our university of applied sciences is highly successful in the area of applied research. We contribute to technology transfer by realising our research and development plans into tangible use“, confirms Vice-President Prof. Dr. Markus Stöckner. "Applied research is an important part of the university's profile, after all the education at our university, especially in the master programs, is enriched by the R&D projects.“
