Those who are interested in post-graduate studies are faced with an abundance of choices. This is where rankings of Master’s degree programs come in – their aim is to help applicants choose the program that is right for them. On December 3, the latest edition of “ZEIT CAMPUS” will be published with a new national ranking of Master’s degrees. For this ranking, the Center for Higher Education (CHE) compared programs according to 11 to 15 criteria, with a distinct focus on research, as this is what post-graduate students will be most interested in.
In this latest ranking, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences was able to achieve excellent results with as many as three of its Master’s programs. In the “graduation within a reasonable time frame” category, the Civil Engineering program came out top, while the Electrical Engineering & Information Technology as well as the Mechanical Engineering programs were placed in the top group in the categories “international orientation” and “research funds per professor”.
According to Prof. Dr. Angelika Altmann-Dieses, Vice-President for Academic and International Affairs, “such results in renowned university rankings are proof time and again of the high quality of our programs, which we achieve through a high level of practical relevance and the close interconnection of teaching and applied research. This is what gives our graduates excellent job prospects anywhere in the world.”
