Due to the ongoingly uncertain situation in the COVID19-pandemia the TriRhenaTech alliance decided to cancel the Upper-Rhine Artificial Intelligence Symposium 2020. The proceedings are published via arxiv.org.
The international ‘Upper-Rhine Artificial Intelligence Symposium’ organised by the TriRhenaTech alliance supposed to be held on 13 May, 2020 in Karlsruhe focuses on applications of artificial intelligence in collaboration between universities and industry. In the morning, following items are scheduled: two keynote speeches from political representatives, two keynote speeches from university and industry representatives, and a panel discussion on ‘Artificial Intelligence – Research Impact on Key Industries’. Papers on AI applications in industry, medicine and mobility as well as a lecture on quantum computing outlining future developments of artificial intelligence will take place in the afternoon. The conference language is for the most part English, with some parts being held in French and German.
The conference will be accompanied by a posters and an exhibition detailing various AI projects from France, Germany, Switzerland, and other countries which aim to encourage an exchange of perspectives. We cordially invite you to discover the expertise and opportunities of artificial intelligence and discuss its possibilities and potential risks.
The symposium is free of charge. Due to limited number of participants registration is required. Requests will be served on a first-come first-served basis.
The TriRhenaTech alliance is a network of universities in the Upper-Rhine Trinational Metropolitan Region. Its members are the German universities of applied sciences in Furtwangen, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, and Offenburg, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach, the French university network Alsace Tech (comprised of 14 'grandes écoles' in the fields of engineering, architecture and management) and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. The alliance's joint goal is to strengthen the transfer of knowledge, research, and technology, as well as encouraging the cross-border mobility of students in the Upper-Rhine region.
The first TriRhenaTech conference on Artificial Intelligence took place in 2019 at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. The proceedings 'Artificial Intelligence : from Research to Application' to this conference can be found on arxiv.org.
